Taylor Swift NYC Locations: 8 Places in New York City Every Swiftie Should Visit

If you’re a Taylor Swift fan visiting New York City, you’re in the right place. From the East Village to the West Village, Taylor has woven New York City into her music, lyrics, music videos, and personal lore for years.
As a Swiftie, one of the most fun ways to explore NYC is to visit the real places that inspired some of Taylor Swift’s songs. Whether you want to walk down Cornelia Street, visit the bar rumored to be referenced in Delicate, or see the location from the All Too Well short film, there are plenty of Taylor Swift NYC locations you can add to your trip.
I put together some of the best Taylor Swift places to visit in New York City, including the addresses, songs they’re connected to, and what you can expect when you visit.
This is by no means every Taylor Swift location in NYC—there are so many!—but these are some of my favorites and the easiest to add to a NYC itinerary.
Lovers of Today

Taylor Swift Lore: repuation
If you’re looking for one of the most recognizable Taylor Swift bars in NYC, add Lovers of Today to your list.
Swifties believe this cozy East Village cocktail bar may be the inspiration behind the famous Delicate lyric: “Dive bar on the East Side, where you at?” The connection has never been officially confirmed, so think of this one as part of the fun of Taylor Swift NYC lore rather than a definite fact.
The bar has a cozy, intimate atmosphere and is a fun stop if you’re exploring the East Village. Drinks can be on the pricier side, but that’s pretty typical for NYC cocktail bars. One of my favorite drinks here is the Astral Plane, and they also have a happy hour, which makes this an especially fun stop earlier in the evening.
Housing Works Soho

Taylor Swift Lore: All Too Well: The Short Film
Housing Works Bookstore in SoHo is one of the best-known Taylor Swift filming locations in New York City. It was used for a scene in Taylor Swift's All Too Well: The Short Film, starring Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien.
Housing Works is also a nonprofit organization supporting efforts to end homelessness and AIDS, and its bookstore is a fun place to browse while exploring SoHo.
Even if you aren’t specifically visiting for Taylor Swift, it’s an easy stop to add to a SoHo NYC itinerary. Spend some time shopping, grab a coffee, and then stop by Housing Works to see one of the locations featured in Taylor's short film.
The High Line

Taylor Swift Lore: cardigan — folklore
The High Line is one of my favorite places to walk in New York City, so naturally I had to include it on this list.
Taylor references the High Line in cardigan from folklore: “your heartbeat on the High Line once in twenty lifetimes”
The High Line NYC is a 1.45-mile elevated park built on a former railroad line. Today, it’s one of the city's most popular places to walk, with gardens, public art, architecture and incredible views of Manhattan. If you’re visiting NYC for the first time, I would definitely add the High Line to your itinerary even if you aren’t a Swiftie. Walk south toward the Meatpacking District and Chelsea, stopping along the way to take in the views and architecture.
Museum of the Arts and Design in New York
Address: 2 Columbus Cir, New York, NY 10019
The Museum of the Arts and Design in New York has dedicated an entire floor to showcase Taylor Swift’s storytelling process and her costumes, props, and jewelry worn throughout her 10 album grammy winning hit career. Throughout the floor you can also see her music videos playing on the tvs, her lyrics on the wall with a gift shop stocked with Taylor Swift merch.
Important update: The exhibition is no longer on view. Taylor Swift: Storyteller ran from May 20, 2023 through March 24, 2024, and the Museum of Arts and Design now lists it as a closed past exhibition.
I'm keeping it on this list because it was such a fun part of the Taylor Swift NYC experience when I visited, but don't add it to your current itinerary expecting to see the exhibit.
Coney Island
Taylor Swift Lore: coney island — evermore
Yes, Taylor has an entire song named after a New York City destination.
In coney island from evermore, Taylor sings about sitting on a bench at Coney Island wondering where her relationship went wrong.
Coney Island is located at the southern tip of Brooklyn and is known for its beach, boardwalk, amusement parks, and iconic summer atmosphere. Unlike some of the locations on this list, Coney Island isn't just a quick photo stop. It's an entire destination. If you're visiting NYC during the warmer months, spend a few hours walking the boardwalk, visiting the amusement parks, grabbing a classic NYC snack, and enjoying the beach.
Cornelia Street
Taylor Swift connection: Cornelia Street — Lover
If there is one place that belongs on every Taylor Swift NYC bucket list, it’s Cornelia Street.
Taylor Swift rented a townhouse at 23 Cornelia Street in Greenwich Village, and the street became the inspiration for her Lover song “Cornelia Street.” The song famously references renting a place on Cornelia Street and walking the neighborhood with someone she loved. Cornelia Street is surrounded by some of the prettiest streets in the West Village, so don't just stop here for a photo. Give yourself time to wander the neighborhood.
Just remember that this is a residential property, so be respectful of the people who live there. You don't need to linger outside or block the sidewalk to appreciate the Swiftie history. For me, this is one of those places that feels extra special because the song makes the location so personal.

Taylor Swift Lore: the 1 — folklore
Okay, this one is a little more of a Swiftie theory.
In the 1, Taylor sings about seeing someone “at the bus stop,” and fans have connected the lyric to Bus Stop Cafe in the West Village.
There has never been official confirmation that the restaurant is the exact location Taylor had in mind. The restaurant serves classic American cafe-style food and is a casual place to stop for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. And the location makes it especially easy to visit because it's close to Cornelia Street and several other West Village stops.
Final Thoughts: Exploring New York City Like a Swiftie
New York City has always been a huge part of Taylor Swift's story and visiting these locations makes some of her songs feel a little more real.
Whether you're walking down Cornelia Street, grabbing a drink at Lovers of Today, strolling the High Line while listening to folklore, or heading out to Coney Island, there are so many ways to experience Taylor Swift's New York City for yourself.
And if you're not a Swiftie? These are still some pretty great NYC neighborhoods and attractions to explore.
